Community Meeting on River District Rezoning is April 26 (April 10, 2016) Crescent Communities and Lincoln Harris have submitted a rezoning request that will allow them to develop over 1,300 acres in the Dixie-Berryhill community with offices, retail, hotels, parks, and thousands of homes. The proposal includes changing the name of Dixie-Berryhill to "River District." See Rezoning Petition 2016-056. Click on the "Site Plan" link for maps and details. Representatives of the petitioners have scheduled a community meeting at Central Piedmont Community College Harris Campus off Morris Field Drive east of Billy Graham Parkway.
The community meeting notice sent out this week said that the meeting was on "Thursday, April 26th" but a representative of the petitioner has confirmed that the meeting is on Tuesday, April 26. To comment on this story, please visit the Steele Creek Forum.
