Community Meeting on New Police Station is March 8
(March 3, 2011) A community information meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 8 to discuss the construction of a new Steele Creek Division Police Station at the corner of South Tryon Street and Westinghouse Boulevard. The meeting will be from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium at the Charlotte Police and Fire Training Academy at the corner of Shopton Road and Beam Road. Charlotte City Council approved a new office for the Steele Creek Division to replace the current facility that is located in the old police academy behind the current academy. The new location selected for this office is highly visible and readily accessible by the community. Construction funding will be approved with the FY12 Capital Improvement Plan.
