(December 3, 2005) Kennedy Covington Lobdell & Hickman, L.L.P. has issued the following announcement regarding a community meeting on a rezoning request on a parcel located at the northeast corner of Arrowood Road and Sandy Porter Road:

Dear Interested Party:

We are assisting Merrifield Partners LLC (the "Petitioner") on a Rezoning Petition and Site Plan Amendment it recently filed and take this opportunity to furnish you with the following basic information concerning the Petition and to invite you to attend a Community Meeting to discuss it.

Background and Summary of Request:

The purpose of the rezoning petition is to accommodate commercial and retail development on the parcel currently zoned R-3 and to amend the existing 0-(CD) and B-l(CD) site plan for the adjoining parcels to accommodate interconnectivity between all the parcels.

Community Meeting Date and Location

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Planning Commission's records indicate that you are either a representative of a registered neighborhood organization or an owner of property near the Site. Accordingly, we are extending an invitation to attend our Community Meeting to be held on Thursday, December 15, 2005 at 6:30 p.m. at Steele Creek Baptist Church, Charlotte, NC. Representatives of the Petitioner look forward to discussing this rezoning proposal with you at the Community Meeting.
