Steele Creek YMCA Offers Summer Day Camp

(April 7, 2005) Summer time is approaching fast and now is a great time to decide how your children will spend their time out of school.  Why not chose the Steele Creek YMCA?   

Located at the Central Steele Creek Presbyterian Church, the YMCA Day Camp offers a wide variety of programs to ensure children of all ages have a fun, safe and rewarding summer. 

Traditional Day Camp runs from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm and operates Monday - Friday, from June 8th to August 24th.  You can sign up for just one week or the entire summer.  Activities include arts-n-crafts, field games, values lessons, and swimming at the Morrison YMCA water park. 

Kinder Kamp is a half day camp for ages 2 to 4 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm beginning June 13th and ending August 12th.  Daily activities include circle and sharing time, tumbling, devotions, story time, and much more.  

For ages 13 to 15 we offer a Camper In Leadership Training program that focuses on developing responsibility and leadership skills.  These older campers assist staff while leading younger campers in daily activities as well as fun, age appropriate events with teens their own age.
