Olympic High Hosts Four Football Games This Fall

(September 5, 2004) The Olympic High School Trojans will host four home football games this fall:

 Butler (Homecoming and Booster Club Barbecue)
 East Mecklenburg
 Garinger

Games start at 7:00 and feature performances by the Olympic High School Marching Band. Olympic High School is located at 4301 Sandy Porter Road (about 1/4 mile north of Arrowood Road).

Coach Maurice Flowers brings 13 starters and 29 lettermen back from last season. The quarterback is Ben Williams, who converted from wide receiver this year. Williams passed for 482 yards in Olympic's first two games, a loss at Piedmont (39-35) and a rare victory at West Charlotte (29-14).

Olympic is a member of the Southwestern 4A Conference along with six other Mecklenburg County schools.

Watching a high school football game is a great way to spend a fall Friday. Be sure and come out and support our local team!
