CREEK NEWS (April 12, 2002) The Mecklenburg-Union Metropolitan Planning Organization (MUMPO) and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Planning Commission (CMPC) presented an updated Dixie-Berryhill Thoroughfare plan at a public meeting on April 11. The major change from the plan presented on January 31 (See previous story) is to move the alignment of the major thoroughfare through Berryhill to the west, away from the intersection of Dixie River Road and Mount Olive Church Road to avoid existing structures. The plan will be discussed further at the Mecklenburg Union Metropolitan Planning Organization meeting on May 15. A map of the plan is below. Contact person is Barry Mosley, Principal Planner, CMPC.
