Post Run! Ballantyne on May 2
YMCA’s 11th Annual Run! Ballantyne Event Offers New Course and Raises Money for Cause

The Morrison Family YMCA’s Run! Ballantyne race expects to draw close to 3,000 runners to the Ballantyne area while raising money for local YMCA camp and afterschool program scholarships.

[Charlotte, NC – March 18, 2015] Now offering an 8k, 5k and 1-mile Fun Run course, the Run! Ballantyne event, presented by Bissell and the Morrison Family and Ballantyne Village YMCAs, is expecting an even larger turn-out for this already popular race on Saturday, May 2nd.

With three course lengths and multiple divisions like Corporate, School and Community Teams, roughly 3,000 athletes of all ages and experience levels are expected to race through the streets of Ballantyne. In order to accommodate the continuous growth of this event, Run! Ballantyne has been relocated within the Ballantyne Corporate Park to allow for ample parking and event space.

Making the day even better is knowing that participants will be contributing to the community as they power past the finish line. Proceeds from Run! Ballantyne will go directly toward the YMCA Annual Campaign, helping to provide afterschool care, early learning readiness and summer camp scholarships right here in Charlotte. The Morrison Family and Ballantyne Village YMCAs are dedicated to offering programs and events that nurture the potential of every child and teenager. At the YMCA, your dollars go toward something you can be proud of.

The Y is expecting a sold-out event so early registration is encouraged. For more information and to register online for Run! Ballantyne, please visit ymcacharlotte.org/morrison. For general event information, contact Ashley Collie at 704-716-4631 or ashley.collie@ymcacharlotte.org.
