Steele Creek Residents Association Annual Meeting is February 23

(February 3, 2023) After a three year hiatus, the Steele Creek Residents Association will hold its 2023 Annual Meeting on Thursday, February 23 at Kennedy Middle School (4000 Gallant Lane).

Time: 6:00 PM - Pre-meeting Meet and Mingle
          7:00 PM - Presentations
          8:00 PM - Additional Meet and Mingle

There will be a pre-meeting from 6:00 to 7:00 when attendees can meet, mingle, and learn about over two dozen non-profit groups and local government agencies that will have displays with information about their services and programs.

Beginning at 7:00, we will have presentations on several topics of interest to the community. A representative of the new Mecklenburg County Office of Violence Prevention will be the keynote speaker. Mecklenburg is the first and ONLY county in North Carolina to have such an office dedicated to the prevention of Community Violence. Additionally, a speaker from the North Carolina Department of Transportation will give an update on Highway 160 and other projects. Mr. Dennis LaCaria will be speaking about the 2023 CMS Comprehensive Plan. And the SCRA Trails Committee will give an update on plans to extend the Walker Branch Greenway and other projects.

Although residents and businesses can sign up for membership in the Residents Association at the meeting (for $10 - cash, check, or credit card), membership is not required for attendance. Everyone interested in Steele Creek is welcome. You may also mail your membership dues to SCRA.
